FAQs

We get it. Trusting someone to scoop your yard takes more than a clever name.
That’s why we’ve compiled answers to the most common questions about our dog poop removal service in Raleigh. From scheduling and safety to service options and pricing, you’ll find everything you need to know before deploying K9 Dootie.
If your question isn’t covered here, don’t sweat it, just give us a call at (919) 299-2022, or submit a quick form. We’re standing by and ready to report for dootie.
How often do you scoop?
We offer weekly, biweekly, and twice-weekly pet waste removal. Just pick the plan that fits your schedule, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Are there any contracts I have to sign?
No long-term contracts, ever. You can pause or cancel your service anytime with a quick message. We just ask for at least 3 days’ notice before your next scheduled scoop so we don’t roll out for nothing.
How do I pay?
Easy. Once you book, you’ll receive a secure link for online payment. You can pay monthly, and we accept all major credit and debit cards. No paper checks, no hassle. Your first month of service may be be pro-rated (depending what date of the month you sign-up). After that you’ll be billed on the 1st of every month.
Is there an extra charge for the first time?
There might be. If your yard has been, let’s say, “off duty” for a while, the initial cleanup could require a little extra firepower. We’ll assess the situation and let you know before we get started.
Do you service front yards or large properties?
Our standard dog poop removal service pricing is for backyards only. If you have a front yard, side yard, or a large property, contact us directly, and we’ll provide a custom quote based on your layout.
Do I have to be home during service?
Not at all. As long as we have safe and clear access to your yard, you do not need to be home. You’ll be notified when we arrive, when we leave, and receive photo verification showing your secured gate and completed service.
Should I unlock my gate?
Yes, please! We ask that your gate be unlocked by 8AM on your scheduled dog poop removal service day. If you have a combination or key code lock, feel free to share it securely with us. Locked gates may delay your service. Note: Employees are not allowed to climb over walls or jump over fences.
Do you clean your tools between stops?
Yes. All equipment and gear are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after every visit to protect your pets and property.
Is your company insured?
We are fully insured to operate throughout Raleigh and the surrounding areas. You can count on us to keep things clean, legal, and professional.
What do you do with the waste?
We remove the waste from your property and dispose of it properly. You won’t find it in your bins, and you definitely won’t smell it in your yard.
Do you work on holidays?
We do NOT scoop on major holidays, including:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day (July 4th)
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
If your scoop day falls on one of these holidays, we’ll catch your yard on your next regularly scheduled visit. Since the poop piles up at the same rate, the workload (and value) stays the same.
Can you work with HOAs, apartments, and dog parks?
Yes. We offer reliable cleanup plans for HOAs, apartment complexes, dog parks, commercial properties, and more. Ask us about setting up a commercial rotation.
What if my dog is in the yard?
We love dogs, but for safety reasons, we ask that pets be kept indoors during your scheduled service window. This keeps everyone calm, safe, and focused on the mission.
Do you offer one-time cleanups?
Yes. If you’re preparing for a party, moving out, or simply need to catch up, we offer one-time scoop-and-go visits. Reach out for current dog poop removal service pricing.
Do you work in bad weather?
Rain or shine, we scoop. If it’s lightly raining, our crew will still complete your service (we’re not made of sugar). In the case of severe storms, lightning, or flooded yards, we’ll reschedule for your next scheduled service window.
What’s K9 Dootie’s Winter Policy?
We operate year-round in Raleigh, even when it’s frosty out. As long as your yard is accessible and not iced over, we’ll stay on patrol.
If poop is frozen to the ground, we’ll do our best to remove it, but sometimes those piles need to thaw before we can bag ’em. On the rare occasion we get snow accumulation, we’ll scoop all visible waste, anything hidden under the snow will be cleaned on the next visit once it’s uncovered.
If conditions are unsafe (like icy terrain or frozen gates), we’ll reschedule and notify you ASAP. Mission safety always comes first. 🫡
Does my yard need to be mowed?
Shorter grass helps us spot and scoop every landmine. If your yard is overgrown, we may miss a pile or two (we’re not magicians). For best results, try to keep your lawn in decent shape. We’ll take care of the rest.
What If I have landscapers working in my yard?
No problem. Just let us know ahead of time. If your landscapers are on-site during your scoop window, we’ll coordinate around them or reschedule as needed. Teamwork makes the yard work.
We’re not afraid to talk about poop. Reach out anytime. We’re always happy to answer, clarify, or schedule your first dog poop removal service mission.
Clear the yard. Secure the perimeter. Leave no pile behind. 💩🪖 Your cleanup crew is locked, loaded, and ready to roll.
